Description | A typical representative and probably also co-founder of the "Vino de Tavola" movement of the time. Absolutely purist cultivation of the best grapes without taking into account any regional cultivation and cultivation regulations, insofar as these were considered by the responsible oenologist to be detrimental to quality. Result: considerably better wine, but only the lowest official classification. When it came to pricing, this "deficiency" was rightly compensated for by self-confidence. It was rightly believed that the absolute optimum quality could be obtained from the given grape material. |
Expansion | A "classic Chianti" or Rosso di Montepulciano, but unblended and single-varietal. Strong and velvety and very long-lasting thanks to the appropriate tannin content. |
Storage capacity | Even if the wine doesn't seem tired at all, it should be drunk now. |

The "De Ferrari Corradi" family has been producing traditional wines for many years without ever seeming "old-fashioned". A really great house in this richly blessed area. |

A real Methuselah, who for this reason alone lacks comparable "competitors". |

Gambero Rosso
Gambero Rosso is an Italian publication specializing in wine evaluation and review. It is best known for its annual wine guide "Vini d'Italia," which features and reviews the best wines in Italy. Wines are classified according to a three-glass system ("Tre Bicchieri"), with three glasses representing the highest award. Gambero Rosso is considered one of the most influential and reputable sources of Italian wine criticism and recommendations.
1 glass 🍷 (Bicchiere) :
Wines that receive 1 glass are considered solid and well-made wines that reflect their regional character. They are drinkable and offer good value for money, but they do not necessarily stand out for special sophistication or exceptional quality.
2 glasses 🍷🍷 (Due Bicchieri) :
Wines that receive 2 glasses already show a higher quality. These wines not only have a typical character and good structure, but also a more noticeable depth and complexity. If a wine is labeled as "red" (Rosso) or "bold" , it means that it almost made it to 3 glasses, but fell just short.
3 glasses 🍷🍷🍷 (Tre Bicchieri) :
3 glasses is the highest award in the Gambero Rosso. These wines are considered absolute top wines, exceptional both in terms of their craftsmanship and their expressiveness and aging potential. They represent the best that Italy has to offer and are often among the best wines in the world.
